Larry Glaze -- La Grande School District

The late Doug Flatt was known for his outstanding leadership qualities and was respected by all with whom he worked. Larry Glaze has a long, distinguished career in education and as an administrator.

He has served as a school administrator for 32 years in 7 different roles in 5 school districts around Oregon. Prior to that, he was also a teacher and coach in small, eastern Oregon school districts.

Along the way, this person has shown tremendous growth and has gained the respect from colleagues across the state. Through his outstanding and progressive leadership, he has become a state leader in the implementation of Professional Learning Communities and using data to guide instruction.

His staff, board, students, parents and community members all know they are fortunate to have this person holding the reins to their school district.
