Service Area Map

The InterMountain Alternative Education Consortium (Alt-Ed.) provides educational services to at-risk students in partnership with member schools. Alt-Ed. allows member schools to meet the statutory requirement by providing an alternative setting for students who cannot function, for a variety of reasons, in a traditional school setting. Alt-Ed. schools emphasize student achievement through individualized educational processes and differentiated curriculum, and help students to achieve success in meeting federal AYP standards. The Alt-Ed. operates at RiverBend Youth Correctional Facility (educational programs) in La Grande.

Mission Statement

To provide students a structured and diversified learning environment to grow and become responsible contributing adults with usable skills that can be used throughout their lives and careers.
