The InterMountain ESD has an Outdoor School program for its component school districts in eastern Oregon. The IMESD leases 654 acres from the Umatilla National Forest; one side of the property is located next to a wilderness area and the other three sides are adjacent to federal forest land. The acreage is also at the confluence of three major waterways that form the Umatilla River. Activities at Outdoor School include hiking, fishing and a pond.

The Outdoor School property contains two facilities, Corporation and Buck Creek, and can accommodate up to 120 students at a time.
