Dave Fowler has been named the 2025 Regional CTE Teacher of the Year by the Region 12 CTE Consortium. CTE stands for Career Technical Education. Fowler was surprised with this award during an all-school assembly at Heppner Junior/Senior High School on December 16th, 2025.
For many years, Dave has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the learning of students in Eastern Oregon; equipping them with hands-on, real-life experiences that will serve them the entirety of their professional lives.
Caitlin Russell, IMESD's Regional CTE Coordinator had this to say about the 2025 Awardee:
"Dave Fowler is the kind of leader you lean on. His guidance has shaped CTE across our region and strengthened TSA programs statewide, always with students at the center. Dave turns big ideas into real opportunities that help students grow, compete, and succeed long after they leave his classroom."
