InterMountain Education Service District (IMESD) is pleased to announce it has received a generous grant from the Wildhorse Foundation Trust to support two professional development trainings for educators in the region. The trainings will be provided by Playworks, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping schools create safe, healthy, and inclusive environments through the power of play.

The grant will allow educators and school staff to participate in specialized training over the summer focused on structured play, positive recess strategies, and inclusive games that help students build social and emotional skills while staying active. Playworks is nationally recognized for helping schools foster cooperation, reduce conflict, and promote student well-being through meaningful play.

“We are grateful to the Wildhorse Foundation for their generous support,” said Dave Williams, IMESD Director of School Improvement. “This funding allows us to bring high-quality professional development to educators in our region that will ultimately help students experience positive, engaging play during the school day.”

Through this partnership, InterMountain ESD will expand opportunities for school staff to learn practical tools that encourage teamwork, inclusion, and healthy activity for elementary students across the region.

InterMountain ESD extends its sincere thanks to the Wildhorse Foundation for investing in the well-being of students and the professional growth of educators.
