The IMESD congratulates the Pilot Rock School District on the passage of its General Obligation bond on the November 3rd ballot. At the November 18th meeting, the Pilot Rock School Board accepted the results of the bond election.

Superintendent Troy Jerome said the district is very happy that Pilot Rock voters have shown this support for the district and its students. “Thank you to our voters! Passing a bond is difficult, but with the challenge of the pandemic added in, we knew we had to work even harder, and that paid off,” Jerome said.

The bond will raise $8 million for multiple bond projects, with a matching grant of $4 million from the Oregon School Capital Improvement Matching Program (OSCIM) for a total of $12 million for projects.

Jerome said the board and the district appreciate the community of Pilot Rock for their support of the bond, which will allow improvements to be made at district facilities to benefit the education of students for many years.
