This week the Instructional Services department hosted a K-8 Counselor Connections workshop.
Regional school districts' school counselors and other support specialists were invited to network and discuss hot topics such as; Career-Related Learning, Attendance in a Post-Covid World, Tier II, III Behavior Support Strategies (classroom, unstructured environment, etc.), Screen Addiction, Running/Managing SEL Groups, SEL Curriculum, and SEL Screeners: Strengths & Weaknesses.
Attendees overwhelmingly indicated that the opportunity was very relevant to their practice. There were 12 school districts that included 41 attendees. All attendees are looking forward to another opportunity to discuss and network hopefully in Spring 2023!
