Denyce Kelly Receives Prestigious 2026 OASBO President's Award

IMESD Director of Business Services Denyce Kelly has been awarded the 2026 President's Award by the Oregon Association of School Business Officials (OASBO). The honor was presented at the OASBO Annual Summer Conference in Bend on July 22, 2026.
OASBO's awards recognize individuals who serve public education through school business operations. The President's Award is a discretionary honor given each year by the outgoing OASBO Board President — not decided by committee, but chosen as direct recognition from state-level leadership for extraordinary service, dedication, and leadership in the field over the past year.
Kelly has supported IMESD and its 17 component school districts for 21 years. Since joining the district in 2005, she has helped transform its Business Services department into a model of regional collaboration. Her work has strengthened business services while helping districts maximize resources in support of students. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kelly is also well known for her generosity, mentorship, and genuine care for others.
“We are incredibly proud of Denyce for receiving this well-deserved recognition. She is a true talent, recognized by her peers across the state for her dedication to fiscal integrity and operational excellence,” said Dr. Mark Mulvihill, IMESD Superintendent.
“It is an honor to be recognized by peers and colleagues whose dedication to public education I admire so much,” Kelly said. “This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the relationships and collaboration of the many mentors, coworkers, and friends whose support and encouragement have guided me throughout my career. I share this award with each of them.”
Congratulations, Denyce!
