The IMESD Migrant Education Program (MEP) hosted its annual Family Resource Fair on September 3^rd at Blue Mountain Community College in Hermiston, welcoming 60 parents and 45 children for an afternoon of connection, resources, and fun. Morrow County donated free clothing and coats, and MEP Preschool Specialist Marisol Valencia organized a hands-on activity for kids, who also enjoyed free face painting courtesy of the Oregon Human Development Corporation (OHDC).

More than a dozen community organizations joined the event to connect families with services ranging from health enrollment and food assistance to career support, early childhood programs, and dental screenings, including NCAP, Euvalcree, WorkSource, OCDC, CAMP-OSU, Doulas Latinas, Oregon Paid Leave, the OSU Extension Service, and Dental Advantage. NCAP also donated nachos and water, and MEP served hot dogs for attendees. Oregon Rural Action's Rafael Romero rounded out the celebration with a promotional video and live music.

Beyond a fun, welcoming afternoon, the fair introduced new families to MEP and the services available to them if they qualify. Thank you to all of our community partners for helping make this year's Resource Fair a success!
